The June Crazy...

The last few weeks of the school year are always INSANE!  We've been running from one event to another for the past week.  Only a few more days to go.

A tweet this week from Georgia's teacher
This past weekend, we went straight from tball to dance recital pictures.  We've also had to make up several other tball games this week since the weather seems to have finally turned.

It's amazing how much better Georgia has gotten this season.  I can't remember the last time that she needed the tee to hit.  The whole team has improved so much this season!

Within 30 minutes of leaving Saturday's game, she was sporting mascara and curls and was ready for dance pictures!

Rocking out to Ace of Base's "I Saw the Sign" this year in her jazz routine

In other news, it stopped raining long enough for us to run over to Butler's Orchard and pick a huge harvest of strawberries.  Mimi was in town, so Grant stayed behind while we went to work in the fields.

Found one!
Hard at work
We ended up with almost 10 pounds of berries!

We also managed to say hi to "Charlie" while we were at the farm!

Once home, Nick and Georgia whipped up a DELICIOUS batch of strawberry ice cream (dairy free, of course!).  I'm not usually a huge fan of strawberry ice cream, but the berries were so sweet and juicy this year.  It tasted amazing!!  We used the same recipe that we made two years ago (found HERE), but also added in some of our favorite Enjoy Life chocolate mini chips.  The house smelled ridiculously good while those berries simmered away!

Now that the weather has FINALLY turned (I think I saw that it rained for 19 days in May), we've been spending any and all free time outside!

Nick bought himself a new drone...

The neighborhood kids love chasing it around and he's made some super cool videos with it already.

We've been eating and playing outside on the deck as much as possible!

Playing a game on the deck after dinner
We had our first official movie night of summer this past weekend - "Trolls!"

And Nick managed to figure out a way to entertain both kids at the same time... by tying them together.

Grant doesn't look totally okay with this plan!

Georgia really is such a good big sister.  She was terrified of driving fast!!  It was like watching the car in slow motion.
