May Catch Up...

The last few weeks have been a blur all leading up to our mini-vacation, which we are currently wrapping up.  All the planning and then it's over in the blink of an eye.  Oh well.  Time to plan another trip!

Life lately...

Grant's transportation can best be described as master army crawler.  He gets up on all fours, rocks back and forth and usually goes a scoot or two forward and then collapses onto his belly and takes off like a rocket.  When he's not doing that, he has an "assistant" to help him.

He's up!

Frankly, Grant couldn't care less that he can't quite keep up with Georgia in the playing department.  He's more than happy to just watch her and crack up laughing with whatever she does.

I thought I had a great plan one night - I trapped him in the master shower while Georgia was taking a bath in the master bathtub.  My plan worked great for about 2 minutes before I turned around and spotted this...

Jailbreak in progress!

He is definitely getting to be quite the escape artist.  He's been starting to pull up more and more too, including in the bathtub.  One minute he's sitting down and the next, he's halfway out of the tub!

Little guy has also mastered the high five in the past month or so...

When Grant isn't moving or giving high fives, he is eating.  And eating.  And eating.  No joke, he can out eat Nick and I most nights.  If Georgia doesn't finish something, he'll happily clean her plate for her.  If he keeps this up, I'll be getting a part-time job just to get through his teen years.

Watermelon, mac-n-cheese, and a cheeseburger for dinner!
He eats black beans like his sister - by the pound!

Stealing more of his sister's mac-n-cheese with a side of chicken

A few weekends ago, we all managed to get dressed up in our Sunday best for a Kentucky Derby party at a friends' house.  Unfortunately, the weather was atrocious and it rained all day, which moved the party indoors.  But, it was nothing that a few mint juleps didn't make better!

Georgia and I ready for the party

Georgia was so excited about her new "derby" hat

Our handsome dates

Getting a tattoo from the clown/magician hired to entertain the kids during the party

Love the suspender look!

Our pony didn't win us any money in the race, though!  Boo.

In social media news, all the "kids" at work are teaching me how to Snapchat.  Lord help us.

Practicing on Georgia

Saturday morning tball games have been a washout week after week this whole month.  Luckily, Monday nights have been gorgeous, so we've been making up games during our practice times.

Miss G on 3rd

Georgia's school hosted Munchkins for Mom one morning last week before school.  We even managed to sneak in our own allergy safe donuts!

Georgia and I also started looking towards summer and she had lots of ideas about what we should do this summer.  Together, we made our list (and let Daddy have a little bit of input).

Little did she know that we were planning a surprise trip to the beach this week!

Before we headed off to the beach, we had Observation Night at dance.  She was so excited to show me her upcoming recital dance!

Where did the baby in my backseat go and who is this big kid?!?!

I can't wait to share all our vacation pics from the week.  We completely lucked out with weather and had a gorgeous few days at the beach this week.
