Mimi was back in town and joined Georgia and I for our morning stroll to school while she was here.
She then managed to sneak in some cuddle time with Grant...
While Mimi was in town, Becky stopped by to introduce us to her new little cutie, Miss June. Grant and June will be fast friends one day... maybe once they both figure out how to hold up their heads!
Our Friday nights now include tball practice...
Throwing around with Daddy
Last Saturday was approximately 10,000 degrees out. Of course, Georgia had her first tball game of the season smack in the middle of the day.
#Grantnotimpressed (That's for you, Auntie!)
Guess who volunteered to play catcher?!?!?
The heat was overwhelming, so I headed home with Grant before the start of the 3rd inning. I barely pulled into the house before everyone else arrived back since the game got called because of the heat. Before too long, a nice downpour rolled through. What do you do when your sweaty and gross from your tball game and it starts raining out????? Hit the deck... and make your Daddy join you.
And then you make your Daddy dance in the rain...
In Grant news... the little guy is not so little anymore! He's 8 weeks old and we're guessing that he's pushing the scales to about 12 pounds (we'll find out his official 2 month old weight at his doctor's appointment later this week). He's managed to roll over one time from his tummy to back (because he was PISSED!) and he's starting to smile at us more and more.
Starting to use Georgia's old mat (she spent COUNTLESS hours down there!)
Holding his head up like a champ
Looking like a little man with his cargo shorts and polo shirt
Those are totally judgey eyebrows... from a kid with no eyebrows yet!
These first early smiles are so hard to catch on camera...
Grant has also finally figured out that we are NOT trying to drown him during bath time. Now that he's relaxed, he seems to actually enjoy bath time.
KC is slowly adjusting to life with two kids. Although, she may have a little jealousy issue...
I thought this was my seat?!?!
My typical day... a sleeping baby on my chest and a cat by my side!
Passed out cold in the mudroom
You know KC is feeling pretty helpless when she lets Georgia this close to her without attempting to move!
Luckily, Georgia doesn't seem to have the same issue. She's more than happy to help out with the new guy...
And my favorite video of the two of them. Georgia does such a good job with Grant and she doesn't even realize it. I love that she wipes his little mouth when he spits up a bit. I love that she pats his back when he gets a little upset. She's been a fast little learner!
