Snow, Snow, Snow!

It's been exactly one week since the blizzard hit the mid-Atlantic.  We received well over 2 feet of snow, which means that life has shut down for the past week.  No school.  No work.  Craziness!

The first flakes started flying right around 1pm on Friday, which was right on schedule per all the 24/7 newscasts.

Georgia was excited about the snow, but was happier about getting her nails painted blue!

By the time we woke up on Saturday morning, our deck was buried!

And it was STILL snowing...

Nick and Georgia headed out to shovel around 1pm on Saturday and we almost lost Georgia to the snow drifts!

By dinnertime, Clarksburg was "winning!"  Little did we know that it would continue to snow until midnight.

By Sunday morning, the sun was out and the "damage" was done!

Snow day = donut day

Nick snapped this pic of Georgia moments before he had to "rescue" her from the deep snow!

There was no need to find a sledding hill since the street worked just fine!

A neighbor posted this pic of our house in the beautiful snow!

Our first sign that we might get dug out... Monday night!  The plows didn't arrive until Tuesday evening and that was just to dig a small landing strip down the middle of the street.

Georgia was less than thrilled to realize that her school was going to re-open on Wednesday while Mommy got to stay home for a few more days!

Although the Go-Pro batteries couldn't survive the duration of the storm, Nick managed to get snippets of the entire event...
