Before we left, we had one final breakfast reservation... Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. Originally, we had a different reservation for the morning, but due to some flight departure changes, we had to move some things around and Kona was close by and an easy walk. So, we started our final walk over to the Polynesian and came across all the Shades of Green landscapers standing around one of the swampy lagoons watching something in the water. Then we spotted the gator with his raccoon brunch. Well, circle of life, even at Disney!
Kona was another restaurant debuting allergy friendly menus, which was super helpful when ordering for Georgia.
Again, Georgia's tapeworm was in full effect and she inhaled a gigantic Mickey pancake!
Mini-tip --- If you have an afternoon flight, but don't want to buy a ticket for the parks on your day of departure, plan a leisurely breakfast at one of the hotel restaurants.
After breakfast we walked back to Shades of Green to grab our suitcases before heading to the lobby to wait for our ride to the airport.
Georgia was more than happy to get a few more minutes of Disney tv...
The bad news about leaving Orlando in the middle of the afternoon is that thunderstorms tend to roll through and disrupt air travel a bit. Our flight to DC was only delayed about an hour. Poor Mimi was still stuck in Orlando as we arrived safely home.
Overall, another great Disney trip in the books! Even with 8 full days there, you still don't get to see/do everything that you hoped. We thought we had scheduled in some down time during this trip, but it always seemed like we were on the go.
Mini-tip --- Definitely take the day AFTER your trip off from work!
As always, Nick made an amazing video of the adventure...
