2nd Week of Summer 2015...

The lazy days of summer continue at the Thoman House...

Day # 7 Our tomato plant is officially out of control and towers over Georgia these days!

Speaking of out of control... the rain and storms have been crazy so far this summer!  On Tuesday evening, the skies darkened yet again and then the wind started and didn't stop.

Georgia and I heard our chairs go flying and the snap peas went next.  Our neighbor's grill even flipped over during the craziness.  Yet again, lakeside property for the 2nd or 3rd time in less than a week!

Day #8 - The weather cleared for a beautiful Wednesday morning.  Since the rain brought in some cooler air, Georgia and I took advantage and headed to the farm to pick some cherries!

Georgia and I had all the trees to ourselves as we picked a bucketful of beautiful red cherries.  The whole farm was empty and quiet, so Georgia took advantage and ran around to play with all the playground equipment and farm toys.  Typically, we're at the farm on the weekends when it's packed with families, so it was nice to have the whole place for just us.

Day #9 - Georgia headed off to school for sprinkler day and I convinced Nick to work only a half day so that we could sneak in an afternoon movie date.  In big news, it only took me 9 days before I officially "did" my hair (aka - blow dry and not a wet ponytail) for the first time this summer!

Day #10 - Another cool morning, so Georgia and I hit up the farm again for some blueberry picking!

On our drive out of the farm, we saw a sign advertising black raspberries, so we decided to give them a try too!

Muffin making commenced as soon as we got home...

We wrapped up the week with Friday pizza and game night at our house with all the neighbors!

Day #11 - On Saturday morning, we all had big plans to meet at a local farm/petting zoo.  However, the weather had other ideas.  So, we re-grouped and decided to try a new trampoline place, Sky Zone.  But first, we had to carb-load...

Blueberry pancakes!

The trampoline place was beyond amazing.  We had an absolute blast with 5 other families from our neighborhood.  Chaos ensued...

The adults may have had more fun than the kids (and were certainly the ones popping the painkillers the next morning - we may have forgotten that we aren't as young or flexible as we thought!)...

Nick made yet another killer video using our Go Pro with the help of all the adults who took turns "illegally" jumping with the camera since phones/cameras were banned from the jumping areas!
