March - Snow, Seuss, Sue, & More...

In January, all of us Maryland school employees were completely freaking out that we weren't going to use any of our 4 allocated snow days since all we were getting was rain, rain and rain (and watching New England get nailed with storm after storm!).  If only we knew what was coming our way for February and now March.  So, we're home again today enjoying snow day #6 and now all hoping that our school calendar doesn't get extended to July!

Over the past couple of weeks, we've had lots of stuff going on around the house and at school...

First up, Georgia's school celebrated Dr. Seuss week with lots of fun events everyday, including crazy hair day.  She requested braids - lots of 'em...

Georgia and our favorite neighbor!

Georgia has also been super proud of all of her schoolwork lately, especially because she can write her name all by herself these days (insert proud Mommy teacher moment)...

Our favorite purchase of the week was a pair of swimming goggles.  I spotted them on a website earlier in the week and ordered them thinking ahead to the summer.  Nope, they only lasted a minute in our house in the package before Georgia popped them on and headed up to the bathtub for a swim!

Noodles and goggles.... dinner of champions!

The highlight of our week was Mimi coming to visit and almost getting trapped with us!  An ice storm on Sunday almost delayed her return back to MA.  Since BWI was apparently not sending out flights, we had to make a switch to Reagan and a different airline to get her home.  G loved having Mimi with us for the weekend...

After we popped our snow tube during the last storm, we ordered a new one and it arrived just in time for Mimi's visit.  Georgia has decided that the tube is better used in the living room and so far has been used for everything EXCEPT its intended use.  It makes a great drum, trampoline, veterinarian station and fort!

Forcing Mimi to drum while the princess watches!

Face plant!

Bombs away!

Poor Chase had to visit the vet!

We've also been practicing our somersaults on these snowy days...
