Jamaica - Day 3...

Sunday in Jamaica was our last full day on the island, so we were up and out of the hotel room around 8am again so we could try and grab a poolside lounge chair.

Nick made a friend on his way to breakfast.  Meet Bob (his girlfriend, Rita, wasn't allowed on shoulders because of her "feisty attitude")...

The morning was crazy hot.  We spent the majority of the time floating around the pool on rafts or sucking down frozen drinks.  After a blazing hot morning, some afternoon clouds rolled in, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing since it was a break from the sun.

Nick headed back on his sailboat for some time on the water and I played paparazzi from the shore...

Apparently I managed to take a sailing-selfie the previous day, as Nick discovered it when he was unloading some other photos from his Go Pro camera...

Nick put together some highlights of his sailing adventures...

At one point while watching Nick sail, I took a peek down and spotted these guys having a little dispute near my feet...

We spent the remainder of the afternoon hanging out by the beach and just enjoying the warm weather.  Our favorite jerk chicken cart returned in the early afternoon and we made sure we were one of the first in line to grab our lunch.

The resort never felt crowded all weekend long, with the exception of the pool areas.  You could always find a quiet place to sit and relax.  I was walking along the jetty when I spotted my guy taking a reading break...

It's like Where's Waldo-Nick Edition...

Again, everyone else seemed to disappear when the sun started to set, but we weren't going to miss our final sunset on the island.  Nick even took a sunset dip...

I played lifeguard to make sure a shark didn't get him...

Nick played around with the Go Pro camera functions and did a great time lapse video of the sun setting that day...

After our final Jamaican sunset, we did our typical dinner routine and tried out the Italian restaurant for the night, which we thought was the best dinner we had on the property.

The big news on the property were the AFC and NFC Championship football games happening back in the states.  Most of the bars and the large indoor theater all played the games, so we wandered around after dinner checking out the scores and rooting on the Patriots.  Luckily, Mimi had Georgia rooting on the Pats back home, which included sending these two hysterical videos to us...

We finished our night at our favorite place listening to the band, swinging in the hammock and enjoying our last hours on the island.

Unfortunately, all good adventures have to come to an end and on Monday morning, we were up early to catch a flight back home.  The only bonus was coming home to this smiling face...

Loving her new soccer ball from Jamaica!

Thanks, Mimi, for hanging with the peanut for the weekend so we could escape for some island time!
