The 4th and the Real 4th...

Unfortunately, the 4th of July was a total and utter wet mess in New England.  The sky opened and it rained and rained and then rained some more!

Since Nick arrived in town and was excited to see his brother's new house, we headed to Rowley for the morning to help out around the house and visit with his family.

Luckily, we were able to visit again the next day on a beautiful sunny day so the kids could play outside and we could do a little tree trimming!  By "we," I mean Nick and the boys while I supervised and made suggestions from the safety of the yard.

Since the 4th was a total rain out, our original BBQ plans had to be moved inside!  Although we couldn't shoot off any fireworks, Georgia still seemed to be flying high...

A few nights later, we were finally able to have our "4th of July!"  The best part about celebrating the 4th of July in New Hampshire is that fireworks are totally legal.  Auntie and Uncle Andrew put on a great display right in the front yard!  Murphy the dog was not a huge fan and Georgia wasn't thrilled with the loud bangs, but we all agreed it was an amazing show, even if Melissa thought her house was going to burn down any minute!

Thanks for a great fireworks display, Uncle Andrew!

Needless to say, Georgia did NOT want to leave at the end of the night, especially after having soooo much fun!
