Strawberry Mania!

A few weeks ago, we decided to hit up the farm to pick our own strawberries.  It had been a few years since I had picked strawberries and Georgia had never picked them!  At Butler's, the fun began with a bouncy hayride out to the picking fields...

Ready to go!!

Once we were assigned our section, we started hunting down some perfect berries to bring home!

This one looks good!

Of course, the best part about picking fresh strawberries is sampling the goods!

Then again, why waste energy on picking them when Daddy will do all the work for you?!?

Someone managed to get strawberry juice all over her clothes, me and her face!

Chin, forehead, nose = good strawberry picking/tasting trip!

Hmmmm... now what to do with all these strawberries??!??

Luckily, Pinterest had a few ideas.  After freezing about half the batch, I whipped up some mini strawberry muffins for Georgia.  A quick milk substitution and the recipe was safe for her to eat.  I also made a strawberry coffee cake, which was pretty yummy - a bunch of folks thought it tasted like a strawberry bread pudding.
