Looch 2!

The big news from our house a few weeks ago was that we got a puppy.  Thank goodness he is stuffed!!!  Georgia opened up a package from Papa and we were shocked to find a Looch puppy.  He had apparently been searching high and low since he knows her love for Victoria and Dennis' dog, Looch, back home in Massachusetts.  Looch has even earned a coveted spot in the crib at bedtime and has been known to be fed Scooby snacks from the pantry.

It's mini-Looch!!!

Looch even got to hang out and watch Georgia's new favorite movie, "The Little Mermaid!"

1st Field Trip...

Georgia's class had their first official field trip a few weeks back.  Since it was during the week, Nick took the morning off and chaperoned Georgia to the farm.  Although it was a sunny day, it was FREEZING in the morning, so I bundled Georgia up in a few layers and sent them both off to Summers Farm for the day.  We had never been to that farm, so we weren't sure what to expect, but the kids and adults had a blast!

Nick kept sending me pictures and videos from their morning adventures since he knew I was having some "Mommy guilt" over being at work vs having fun with them on Georgia's 1st official school field trip...

Swinging

Hayride with Daddy

Driving the school bus

Sliding

Playing in the corn

Maze

Picking pumpkins

And some videos from the day...

The highlight of my day was receiving the following video with a warning text from Nick that read, "Don't judge my parenting skills based on these - she is LOVING it!"

**Warning - if you get seasick, this may not be the video for you!**

Red Sox Sweetheart!

We were pretty psyched that the Red Sox won the World Series last week (frankly, I may have been more excited to get back to normal sleeping hours!).  I gave Georgia a very important decision the morning after their victory - Halloween shirt for school or Red Sox shirt.  The girl is brilliant...

Go Sox!!

Pumpkin Carving...

A few weekends ago, we decided to carve one of the large pumpkins that has been sitting on our front steps since the beginning of October.  After some internet searches, Georgia picked her favorite design.  We weren't surprised to see a familiar face...

Fall Festival at School...

Last Friday was Georgia's fall festival at school.  It was her first opportunity to check out her Halloween 2013 costume...

Meet the Care Bear!

It was so hard to find a good costume for her this year because she tends to like a lot of "boy" shows and toys - trains, cars, ocean, etc.  I searched and searched for a cute Nemo outfit, but never found one.  I finally spotted this Care Bear costume on Kohls website and since she loves her collection of pink stuffed bears, this was the winner!

Bonus feature - the costume was nice and warm!

As part of their school festivities, all the kids parade around the parking lot.  So, we lined up and got ready to march....

Ready to march... or be carried... by Daddy!

Someone was definitely not in the mood to parade - she just wanted to be carried along the route!

At least I got a workout hauling around a 30 pound bear!

After the parade, it was time to chow down on party food!  Georgia had a blast with all her friends from her class.

The nice part about having the school's fall festival the week before Halloween is that it allows us to spread out all the costume, candy and celebrating fun over a few different weeks!
