June in Review...

I can't believe the month of June is half over already.  It's been a crazy month with busy weekends, busy weekdays, some gorgeous weather (with a few tornado warning thrown in!), and the end of school.  In review...

Softball season came to an end with a loss in the playoffs.  But, it was great to get out there and prove to myself that I still had some skill left in this aging body...

Still sporting my team shirt during our nightly stroll around the neighborhood

I ran another 5K last weekend with a group of coworkers - the Run or Dye race in DC.  I highly recommend this fun run to anyone who enjoys having things thrown at them while they run!!

Georgia and I survived being home alone without Nick for the week while he returned to New Orleans for a business trip.  Daddy came home with lots more fun beads for G...

Georgia discovered corn on the cob last weekend and it love at first bite!

Dinner is eaten in the buff after an afternoon playing in the water table

The toddler pout face has been in full effect this week...

Someone is mad because Mommy had to go to work!

Horrible iPhone picture, but how can you take this face seriously?!?!

And finally, we ended this week with beverages and s'mores out by the fire.  Another school year over with! 10 years teaching down.... how many to go???

2nd Birthday Photo Shoot...

On Mother's Day, we had our annual family photo shoot with Stacey from Labor of Love Photography.  You may recall that she did the photos when Georgia first came home from the NICU for our newborn shoot and then did last year's 1st birthday photos.  It always amazes me the pictures she ends up with in the end.  This year was no less surprising!  The morning of Mother's Day was unseasonably cold here... as in, ridiculously cold for a Maryland May morning.  It was muddy and we were sinking into the dirt from a deluge of rain that occurred the previous day.  As we left the shoot, I said to Nick, "Well, hopefully we'll get one or two good pictures of Georgia!"

By now, I should have more faith in Stacey because yet again, she gave us so many great shots.  It's hard to pick my favorites, but these are on my list for now...

Stay tuned for more faves tomorrow...
